Review of Policies
Policies addressing key conduct areas
Governance and Compliance Policy Framework
Every organisation requires a structured suite of governance and compliance policies to manage conduct risk and protect organisational integrity. Clear, accessible policies provide employees with defined behavioural standards and reduce exposure to fraud, misconduct and regulatory breach.
At a minimum, organisations should maintain:
- A comprehensive Code of Conduct
- A formal Statement of Ethics and Values
- A documented Procurement and Conflict of Interest Policy
- A compliant Whistleblower / Protected Disclosure Policy
- A structured Fraud and Corruption Prevention Framework
- A clear Social Media and Acceptable Use Policy
These policies form the foundation of effective corporate governance in both public and private sector organisations.
Training and Ongoing Review
Policies are only effective if they are understood and applied. Regular training – whether in-person or online – ensures employees remain aware of their obligations and reporting pathways.
Governance frameworks should also be reviewed periodically (typically every two to three years, or sooner if regulatory changes occur) to ensure continued legal compliance and alignment with operational risk.
Outdated policies create compliance gaps and increase organisational exposure.
